Valve/Fitting Features
  • Stainless steel construction.
  • Option of cap for tubing or septum.
  • Replaceable fluoropolymer faced septum with large area.

Film Key Features
  • Our Multi-Layer Foil bags are the best choice for collecting and storing H2S.
  • Ideal for sampling and storing for low molecular weight compounds such as Methane, CO, CO2, Hydrogen, and inert gases which are not stable in Tedlar®, ALTEF, or FEP.
  • Water and vapor proof, these opaque, flexible bags protect light sensitive compounds.
  • They provide up to 5 day sample stability for many VOCs, with minimal adsorption.

Suggestion
  • Before use, thoroughly flush bags with ultra-pure nitrogen or zero air
  • During sampling, Fluoropolymer tubing and Fluoropolymer faced septums must be used in order to prevent sample loss.
  • Bags should not be filled to more than 80% of their maximum volume.
  • Charcoal (Black) Tedlar® bags should be used when sampling light sensitive compounds
  • Do not store compounds in bags long term due to the possibility that chemicals may adsorb onto the bag surface.
  • Bags should not be used to collect reactive or unstable compounds.
  • When shipping bags, do not air-ship unless the bags are stored in a pressurized area.

Film Properties
  • Ideal for collecting low molecular weight compounds such as: CH4, H2S, CO, and CO2
  • Foil layers provide very low permeability and complete moisture barrier
  • Maximum operating temperature: 190 ºF
  • Opaqueness protects samples from ultraviolet light

Film Advantages
  • The only bag material that adequately holds H2S for long periods (>5 to 7 days)
  • Ideal for collecting low molecular weight compounds
  • Sample stability for up to 5 days for most compounds
  • Very low permeability to O2, CO2
  • Good VOC stability
  • Less expensive than Tedlar® and ALTEF

Film Limitations
  • Not recommended for collecting low ppm to high ppb VOC's due to background levels from bag materials
  • Recommend analyzing within 48 hours after collection for methane, hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide

Valve/Fitting Benefits
  • Durable and able to withstand use in austere sampling conditions.
  • Allows attachment of tubing or syringe sample extraction by switching caps.
  • Allows repeated punctures with common lab syringes. Allows reuse of valve by only replacing septum.
