STAINLESS STEEL PUSH/PULL VALVE AND SEPARATE STAINLESS STEEL SEPTUM FITTING WITH REPLACEABLE SEPTUM
  • This combination of fitting and valve allows for use of Push/Pull valve for tubing and a separate fitting for septum use.
  • Stainless Steel construction provides durability and ability to withstand use in austere sampling conditions.
  • Replaceable fluoropolymer faced septum, allows repeated punctures with common lab syringes.
  • Septum fitting allows reuse of valve by only replacing septum
  • Push/Pull (On/Off) valve stem for quick, easy opening and closing of valve
  • 3/16" diameter Stainless Steel stem
  • Prices include Stainless Steel Push/Pull valve and separate Stainless Steel Septum fitting
  • Bags with grommets available.

Valve/Fitting Features

N/A

  • Stainless Steel construction provides durability and ability to withstand use in austere sampling conditions.
  • Stainless Steel valve body and nut
  • 3/16" OD Stainless Steel stem

Film Key Features

N/A FEP is one of the most chemically inert materials for making gas sampling bags. It works well in extreme temperatures ranging from -400 to 400 ºF; allowing it to be used in most stack sampling conditions. 5 mil FEP film is completely resistant to the most severe corrosives. Much more permeable than Multi-Layer or Tedlar®. FEP bags can be specified for applications involving corrosive gases.

Suggestion

N/A

  • Before use, thoroughly flush bags with ultra-pure nitrogen or zero air
  • During sampling, Fluoropolymer tubing and Fluoropolymer faced septums must be used in order to prevent sample loss.
  • Bags should not be filled to more than 80% of their maximum volume.
  • Charcoal (Black) Tedlar® bags should be used when sampling light sensitive compounds
  • Do not store compounds in bags long term due to the possibility that chemicals may adsorb onto the bag surface.
  • Bags should not be used to collect reactive or unstable compounds.
  • When shipping bags, do not air-ship unless the bags are stored in a pressurized area.

Film Properties

N/A

  • One of the most chemically inert materials available for making gas sampling bags
  • Maximum operating temperature: 400 ºF
  • Virtually transparent

Film Advantages

N/A

  • Works well in extreme temperatures ranging from -400 to 400 ºF; allowing it to be used in all stack sampling conditions
  • Heavier gauge (0.005) film is resistant to most severe corrosives as well as tolerates applications involving rough handling or difficult service conditions
  • Less expensive than PFA

Film Limitations

N/A

  • Poor long term storage stability for most VOC's and sulfur compounds
  • Much more permeable than Tedlar®, ALTEF, and Multi-Layer Foil bags
  • More expensive than Tedlar®, ALTEF, Multi-Layer Foil, and TFM bags
  • Lower tensile strength than Tedlar®
